Saving Smart, Spending Smart classes are taught at non-profit community centers for low-income individuals throughout King County as part of the Share Our Strength/Operation Frontline partnership with Solid Ground. Because these classes are taught on-location at social service program sites, not all classes are open to the public.

If you are interested in hosting a class series or are interested in volunteering to teach or assist at a class, call Claire Leamy at 206.694.6750, or e-mail her.

It pays to dream. An Individual Development Account (IDA) is a matched savings account in collaboration with the United Way of King County. Whether you wish to own your own home, pursue an education, or start your own business, discover a financial tool to help you meet your goal faster. For every dollar you save in your IDA, United Way of King County will match it with three more dollars.

Find out more by calling Cynthia Sampson at 206.694.6848 or e-mail her or visit the United Way of King County's website.

You can also learn more about IDAs at the Washington CASH web site, a microenterprise development organization that provides low income women, people with disabilities and other underserved individuals access to capital and business development training.
