We’re thrilled to be 2018 recipients of a $10,000 Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation Neighborhood Grant to support Solid Ground’s Community Food Education (CFE).
Each year, CFE engages more than 2,200 youth and their parents in eating healthily on a budget through nutrition and cooking classes for kids in both community organizations and Seattle Public Schools. The grant covers classroom supplies, groceries for participants to take home after each class, gift cards, and kitchen supplies to celebrate course completion.
