IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR FOOD BENEFITS
Because of the federal government shutdown, people who receive food benefits might have received their February 2019 benefits early (on January 20). These early benefits are not extra; if you received your food benefits early, you won’t get more in February. Even if the shutdown ends before March, the next time you could get benefits may be in March. You should budget with this in mind
This applies to the following programs:
- Washington Basic Food Program (Basic Food)
- Washington Combined Application Project (WASHCAP)
- Food Assistance Program for Legal Immigrants (FAP)
- Transitional Food Assistance (TFA)
