Thanks for donating to support young Solid Ground housing residents’ school success in the fall! As families at our Sand Point Housing and Broadview Shelter & Transitional Housing campuses gear up for another year of in-person learning, the Children’s Program staff are also preparing to help these young people achieve their dreams. The full range of support services on Solid Ground campuses means that youth not only have their basic needs met, but they also have access to tutors, mentorship programs, and additional resources to help them develop their passions.
Mekedes is one of more than 200 children and young adults who live at the Sand Point Housing campus. She’s also an incredibly determined college student who’s blazing trails in the world of tech for other young women of color. Read her story!
