GRANTS FOR WOMEN PURSUING COURSEWORK BEYOND BACHELOR’S DEGREES
WHEN: Until December 15, 2016
WHERE: Coursework must be taken at an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States or at a technical school that is fully licensed or accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
WHAT: Grants of up to $12,000 will be awarded to provide support for coursework beyond a bachelor’s degree, including a master’s degree, second bachelor’s degree, certification program, or specialized training in a technical or professional field. Funds are not available for doctorate-level work. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields.”
NEW CITIZEN CAMPAIGN WORKSHOP
WHEN: Saturday, October 15, 2016, 10am – 1pm
WHERE: South Seattle Community College-Georgetown Campus, 6737 Corson Ave S, Seattle, WA 98108
WHAT: A citizenship workshop where a team of volunteer attorneys, paralegals and interpreters will help you with your citizenship application. It’s FREE for all eligible legal permanent residents (green card holders). The New Citizen Campaign is an effort to help the tens of thousands of Seattle legal permanent residents (LPRs) become U.S. citizens. This campaign utilizes outreach and education, citizenship curriculum and legal assistance, and engagement with local and national partners to achieve our goal of naturalizing the over 70,000 LPRs living in the Seattle/King County area.

- Highest demand for tickets on Saturday and Sunday
