Meet representatives of local youth programs, community
colleges, employers, and apprenticeship and job training programs. There will be resources for youth summer programs, camps and scholarships. We will also have youth employment programs, adult employment options, college programs and apprenticeships. Food will be provided (beef hot dogs and veggie dogs, chips and drinks).

Washington Women in Need Education Grant Applications (Due 4/30/16)
This summer, Washington Women in Need (WWIN) will make 50-60 Education Grants to women from across Washington state. Grantees will receive up to $5,000 over a one-year period, which can be used for tuition, mandatory fees, and required books and supplies. Applicants must meet WWIN’s eligibility criteria to be considered. Visit the WWIN website for additional information and to submit an application.
WWIN also provides grants to pay for certain health care expenses not covered by other insurance. The applications can be done at any time for consideration the following month.
Alaskan Way Viaduct Closure Begins April 29
WSDOT is closing the Alaskan Way Viaduct for approximately two weeks beginning on April 29 while Bertha, the SR 99 tunneling machine, tunnels beneath the structure.
