COOKING MATTERS EVENT DAY AT SOLID GROUND
WHAT: An interactive workshop that helps teach families learn how to make the most of their limited resources, including SNAP and WIC benefits
WHEN: Monday, June 6, 2016, 3-6pm

Cooking Matters Tour Leaders recreate the grocery store using props and labels with prices and nutrition facts to simulate commonly found items. Using these props, our Cooking Matters at the Store Tours teach four key shopping skills: identifying whole grains, reading food labels, buying fruits and vegetables on a budget and comparing unit prices.
We will offer delicious food samples, tips for healthy eating on a low budget, and gifts.

JOB HUNTER’S BOOT CAMP
