“UNDER THE BRIDGE” FILM SCREENING

WHAT: “Under the Bridge: The Criminalization of Homelessness” is a film about the plight of a homeless camp under threat of closure by the city of Indianapolis, Indiana.
NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHT OUT FUNDING APPLICATION
If your neighborhood wants or plans to participate in this year’s 32nd Annual Night Out on August 2, the Small Sparks Fund provides funding for projects that promote community engagement and relationship building. Community groups can request up to $1,000 to help fund Night Out activities such as outreach materials, cultural entertainment, music, food and kids’ activities, to name a few. The deadline for applications is Friday, July 1 at 5pm, but you must register first in our application system to apply.

Night Out is a national crime prevention event designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, increase neighborhood support in anti-crime efforts, and unite communities.
JOB HUNTER’S BOOT CAMP
WHEN: 7/5, 7/7, 7/12, 7/14, 1pm-4pm, & 7/18, 9:30am-12pm
WHERE: WorkSource Rainier, 2531 Rainier Ave. South, Seattle, WA 98144
WHAT: This series is an intensive “how-to” from A to Z for job seekers which covers:
- Effective job search, networking & research
- Attention-getting base resumes
- Well-crafted resume customization
- Dynamic interviewing techniques, including a mock interview
Participants must commit to attend all 5 sessions, have basic computer skills and be conducting an active job search. Space is limited to 10 participants.
