Bring Solid Ground to Your Workplace
We’d love to come speak about how our programs are working to solve poverty in our community. Alert your workplace giving coordinator or contact Solid Ground’s Annual Giving Specialist, Simone Marrion, by email at simonem@solid-ground.org or text at 206.334.8148.
Your ongoing support ensures access to urgently needed housing, nutrition, and life skills resources for our neighbors working to build pathways beyond poverty and thrive.

Volunteer with Your Team
Volunteering with a group of coworkers is a great way to build community in your workplace as you support Solid Ground! We welcome teams to join us for one-time events or semi-regular work parties. Here are a few opportunities:
Marra Farm Giving Garden Work Party (March-November): During the growing season, Solid Ground hosts groups of 6 up to 40 people for team-building work parties at our Giving Garden at Marra Farm in the South Park neighborhood. Tasks vary depending on the time of year and include: building soil, preparing vegetable beds, planting vegetable starts and seeds, weeding by hand, composting, watering, harvesting, washing produce, and distributing produce to the community food bank and other locations.
We’re currently accepting group reservations for the growing season. Contact Marra Farm staff at marrafarm@solid-ground.org to schedule.
Host a Workplace Supply Drive: Solid Ground’s residential programs have ongoing supply needs. Pick from one of our current projects and coordinate with your coworkers to collect specific items to meet some of our residents’ needs.
Looking for a different kind of group volunteer activity? Contact Solid Ground’s Volunteer Coordinator at 206.694.6825 or volunteers@solid-ground.org to discuss other possible group activities based on our current program needs and your team’s particular skills.
