WHAT: Alaska/Horizon Airilines are hosting a open interview and hiring event seeking Ground Service Agents.
Position Responsibilities:
- Baggage and cargo handling
- Aircraft marshaling
- Aircraft de-icing
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old with High School Diploma/GED
- Legal to work in the US
- Open full-time employment availability
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Strong diplomacy, teamwork & communication skills
- Ability to use & communicate with a 2-way radio
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Basic mathematics skills
- Five (5) consecutive years residency in US or territories (Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam or Virgin Islands)

EDUCATION & HEALTH CARE GRANTS FOR WOMEN
WHEN: Applications accepted Thursday, March 1 – Saturday, March 31, 2018
WHAT: Washington Women in Need (WWIN) is a nonprofit that provides education and health care grants to low-income women in Washington state in order to help them improve the lives of themselves, their families, and their communities. Awarded grantees will receive up to $5,000 over a one-year period, which can be used for tuition and required books at approved Washington State Colleges & Universities.
The education grant eligibility guidelines have recently expanded to include more of Washington’s low-income women.

NEW WINTER SHELTER LOCATION

WHERE: Our Lady of the Lake Parish Office (3517 NE 89th St, Seattle, WA 98115)
WHAT: The winter men and women’s shelter relocated to Our Lady of the Lake effective February 1. Open hours are nightly 7:30pm – 6:30am the following day. It is recommended to call to check space availability. Walk-ins are accepted if maximum capacity hasn’t been reached.
