MEDICAL OFFICE EMPLOYER PANEL & JOB FAIR
WHEN: Thursday, March 30, 10am – noon
WHERE: WorkSource Downtown – YWCA Opportunity Place (2024 3rd Ave, 2nd Floor, Seattle, WA 98121)
WHAT: This program starts with a 45-minute panel discussing how to get a Medical Office job, how to prepare for interviews, and what to expect during the job search process. After the panel, we take a quick break, rearrange the room, and have a mini-job fair. Bring copies of your resume and dress to impress. Parking is available at adjacent self-pay lots and at the Bed, Bath & Beyond parking garage on 3rd Avenue.
IT EMPLOYER PANEL & RECRUITING EVENT
WHEN: Wednesday, April 19, 2017, 1 – 4pm (parking can be a problem, so please arrive no later than 12:45pm)
WHERE: Redmond Library (15990 NE 85th St, Redmond, WA 98052).
WHAT: Redmond WorkSource and Seattle King County Business Services are hosting this event. The event will start promptly at 1pm and will run until about 4pm. Please plan your afternoon to stay for the full event time.

YOUTH RADIO JOURNALISM WORKSHOP
WHEN: Applications due Tuesday, May 2, 2017; workshop runs July 10 – August 18, 2017, Mon – Fri, 10am – 4pm
WHERE: At KUOW Studios (4518 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105)
WHAT: RadioActive Youth Media is a program of KUOW 94.9 Public Radio. This summer, we’ll run a fun, challenging, and hands-on workshop at KUOW’s Studios in the University District. Workshop participants will learn about journalism, audio recording, audio editing, interviewing, writing for broadcast, and speaking on the air. You’ll create a radio story and collaborate on a daily podcast on topics of your choice that will be heard by thousands of people. And you’ll get PAID $1,200 for completing the program!
- Expect to work up to 40 hours/week.
- No previous broadcasting or journalism experience is necessary!
- The workshop is open to 16-18 year olds. You must be legally able to work in the United States in order to participate.
- We provide bus tickets and snacks. After completing this workshop, you can stay involved and keep making radio with us for as long as you want!
