Welcome to Resource Wire for December 20 through 27, 2023! This is your source for the latest news and updates about community resources and opportunities for folks living on low incomes in Seattle and King County.
For most of us, the hardest part of getting education or training after high school is figuring out how to pay for it. No matter what you’re thinking about doing, the best way to get financial help is to fill out the federal FAFSA or state WAFSA, which are both usually available each October. This year, however, applications won’t be available until the end of the year (any day now!) because of a big overhaul of the financial aid system. Read on to find out how you can get ready to fill out your application ASAP, plus find free holiday events, upcoming resource fairs, and more!
