SEATTLE SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS
WHEN: Summer camp registration begins March 18, 2025. Apply NOW for scholarships.
WHAT: With registration for summer camps opening March 18, now is the time to apply for the Seattle Parks and Recreation 2024-2025 Scholarship Program. Scholarship applications can take up to two weeks to process and must be approved before registering for a program.
Scholarship eligibility is based on income and family size, and is available to anyone who qualifies, including seniors and people with disabilities. To find out if you’re eligible, go to Check Eligibility by Income.

HELP PAYING FOR GROCERIES
WHEN: Waitlist application opens March 3, 2025
WHAT: A waitlist application is now open for Seattle’s Fresh Bucks, which
provides enrolled families with $40 per month to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at participating grocery stores and farmers markets. Enrollment in the program is currently full, but families who join the waitlist have a chance to be enrolled as space becomes available.
To qualify for the Fresh Bucks program, families must live in Seattle and meet income requirements. For more information about eligibility, go to Apply for Fresh Bucks.

FREE OVERDOSE PREVENTION TRAINING
WHEN: Wednesday, March 5, 2025, 5-6pm (Capitol Hill) and Sunday, March 30, 2025, 2-4pm (Lake City)

WHAT: The Seattle Public Library is hosting two upcoming overdose prevention workshops at its branches in Capitol Hill and Lake City. The trainings will provide community members with the resources, knowledge, and training on how to identify and respond to a drug overdose. We’ll also discuss local overdose trends, other harm reduction & recovery resources, and give out naloxone to participants at no cost. Registration encouraged but not required.

RENTERS’ RIGHTS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS
WHEN: Wednesday, March 12, 2025, 3-4:45pm

WHAT: Join Solid Ground tenant counselors as they discuss tenants’ rights and procedures under the Residential Landlord-Tenant Act of Washington state. You’ll learn how to:
- break a lease without liability after an incident of abuse
- report an incident to a qualified third party
- try to get an eviction off your tenant screening report
- get your security deposit back

FREE LEGAL HELP

WHAT: Volunteer attorneys from the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington (LBAW) and the community, along with volunteer interpreters, provide free 30-minute consultations on topics such as immigration, personal injury, worker’s rights, family law, and more. Availability depends on attorney expertise at each clinic.
Space is limited. Consultations are first-come, first-served in-person, and there’s no guarantee of being seen due to high demand and specific legal matters.

FREE MEDICAL CARE FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS
WHEN: Various times and locations listed below
WHAT: King County’s Mobile Medical Program provides walk-in care for people who are living homeless (or were recently homeless) only. Please try to arrive at least one hour before the scheduled end time for the clinic. On rare occasions the clinic will close earlier than the scheduled time. Call the Mobile Van nursing lines if you would like to confirm the clinic end time for a particular day.

FREE & LOW-COST VETERINARY CARE

WHAT: Seattle Veterinary Outreach, Washington Health Outreach, and Doney Coe Pet Clinic provide veterinary care for free or at a reduced cost to the pets of people experiencing homelessness and or living on low incomes.
Veterinary care is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Pet owners are encouraged to arrive early to secure a place in line.
Services are reserved for those experiencing homelessness or living with a low income, which is verified at clinics. Pet owners should bring their SNAP, EBT, WIC, SSI, or TANF cards. Alternatively, a letter confirming that the pet owner is living in subsidized housing or receiving housing vouchers is also acceptable.

FREE TAX HELP
WHEN: Tax returns due Tuesday, April 15, 2025
WHAT: If you make less than $80,000 a year (or less than $96,000 for non-single filers), the United Way of King County is available to do your taxes for FREE so you can get back more of your hard-earned money. Volunteers help you understand your tax situation, plus take advantage of credits like the Earned Income Credit, Child Tax Credit, and the Working Families Tax Credit to maximize your refund.
There are three ways to get FREE tax help:

FREE MEDICAL, DENTAL, & VISION CARE
WHEN: April 24 – 27, 2025
WHAT: The Seattle Center will host its annual four-day FREE Seattle/King County Clinic on April 24-27 this year, offering medical, dental, and vision care for anyone who needs it – no insurance, ID, or proof of residency required. Available services include:
- Dental: Treatment for pain or discomfort, known or suspected cavities, swollen gums, and broken teeth.
- Vision: Vision screening, complete eye exams, prescription eyeglasses.
- Medical: Primary care, x-rays, mammograms, ultrasounds, select lab tests, immunizations, foot care, dermatology, physical and occupational (hand, wrist, elbow) therapy, acupuncture, nutrition, behavioral health, and more.

FEDERAL STUDENT AID APPLICATIONS NOW ACCEPTED
WHEN: Applications due June 30, 2025.
WHAT: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open for all students and families applying for the 2025–2026 school year. While the final FAFSA deadline isn’t until June 30, 2025, students should apply as early as possible because some kinds of financial support are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Completing the FAFSA takes about an hour.

HELP FOR MIGRANTS & ASYLUM-SEEKERS
WHEN: Services available through June 30, 2025
WHAT: The newly launched Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seekers Support project is designed to meet the basic needs of people who have recently arrived in the United States and Washington state but are ineligible for federal refugee services. Participants may be eligible for housing support, immigration-related legal services, and culturally responsive case management. Participants are also connected to medical, education, and job-training resources that are available in the community.
