Welcome to Resource Wire for April 24 – May 1, 2024!
Farmers market season is here! And while your local market is a great place to get fresh, local produce, it can also be expensive. Fortunately, if you’re a senior in King County, you may be eligible to receive $80 to spend on farm-fresh fruits and vegetables this summer. And if you’re not a senior, we’ve got info about how you can make your SNAP or WIC benefits go farther at the farmers market as well. Read on for all that info, plus upcoming internship opportunities, community resource fairs, hiring events, and more!
