~NEW THIS EDITION~
GET YOUR CHICKEN SETTLEMENT CHECK
WHEN: Submit your claim TODAY, Wednesday, June 5, 2024
WHAT: Low-income families in Washington state can get a check for $50 or $120 thanks to a price-fixing lawsuit, but they must file a claim TODAY, June 5, 2024, if they have not already received theirs. The money comes from $40 million in settlements with chicken and tuna producers accused of conspiring to keep prices high for consumers.
All Washington households are eligible to receive a payout from the settlements if they have annual income that is no more than 175% of the federal poverty level. Last December, the Attorney General’s Office began mailing out $50 checks for single-person households, and $120 checks for households with two or more people. Households that did not get a check but believe they are eligible must file a claim by the end of today.
TO SUBMIT A CLAIM: Go to Chicken and tuna price fixing settlements.
