HAS YOUR FAMILY LOST ACCESS TO TANF?
If you were kicked off TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) due to:
- sanctions that led you to be permanently disqualified OR
- the 60-month limit, and you and your family are currently homeless
… you are again eligible for TANF, due to changes in the law effective July 28, 2019.
To reapply for TANF, you must submit an application either in person, by mail, or online. Visit washingtonconnection.org for an online application, or bit.ly/dshs-offices for a list of DSHS offices throughout the state.

REGIONAL REDUCED FARE PERMITS EDUCATION
WHEN: September 9 & 23, 9:30 – 11:30am
WHERE: Lake City Community Center (12531 28th AVE NE, Seattle, WA 98125)
WHAT: In partnership with Seattle Department of Transportation, Hopelink and King County Metro Transit, Lake City Seniors will be a host site for RRFP education. Staff will be available to provide information, support registrants, and answer questions. Limited supply of $36 voucher available to newly eligible RRFP card holders.

FINANCIAL FITNESS BOOT CAMP: A 4-PART WORKSHOP SERIES
WHEN: Starting Wednesday, October 2, 3-5pm (preregistration REQUIRED!)

WHAT: Are you struggling to make ends meet financially? Are bill collectors calling you? Want to create a road map to financial empowerment? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Financial Fitness Boot Camp may be able to help you!
We offer a 4-part workshop series to help you…
- create and maintain a budget
- Pull, read, dispute, freeze, and raise credit scores
- Bank and save in the electronic age
- Set S.M.A.R.T. goals and make a vision board of goals set

UBER BOOST PLAN
WHAT: JUMP by Uber’s electric bikes let you go farther, get there faster, and have more fun. Their Boost Plan allows eligible riders to ride up to 60 minutes a day for just $5 a month. To qualify for the Boost plan, participants can send documentation of their enrollment with the Seattle Housing Authority, Basic Food, Seattle City Light, ORCA lift reduced-fare program, Regional Reduced Fare Permit, and/or Apple Health.

WHAT: FareStart is a free culinary training and placement program.
Students receive:
- 16 weeks of hands-on culinary training in working professional kitchens
- Coaching to become successful in your work and help finding a job
- Support services for personal needs, including housing assistance

FREE SUNDAY DINNER
WHEN: Every Sunday, 12 – 2pm
WHERE: Blessed Sacrament Church (5050 8th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115, Parish Hall)
WHAT: Blessed Sacrament Church hosts a weekly Sunday dinner. Meals are served with green salad, fruit salad, dessert, bread, coffee, milk, and juice.
