COMCAST INTERNET ESSENTIALS
WHAT: Comcast’s Internet Essentials program is the largest, most comprehensive, and most successful broadband adoption program in the nation. It provides low-cost internet ($9.95/month) to low-income families and individuals within the Comcast service area.
Eligibility: To qualify, applicants simply need to show they participate in one of more than a dozen different government assistance programs, including: ⇒Medicaid, ⇒Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and ⇒Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Comcast also accepts applications from households that: ⇒have a student eligible for the National School Lunch Program, ⇒live in public housing, ⇒receive HUD Housing Assistance (including Section 8 vouchers), or ⇒participate in the Veterans Pension Program, as well as low-income seniors in select pilot markets.

REGIONAL REDUCED FARE PERMITS (RRFP) EDUCATION
WHEN: September 9 & 23, 9:30 – 11:30am
WHERE: Lake City Community Center (12531 28th AVE NE, Seattle, WA 98125)
WHAT: In partnership with Seattle Department of Transportation, Hopelink, and King County Metro Transit, Lake City Seniors will be a host site for RRFP education. Staff will be available to provide information, support registrants, and answer questions. Limited supply of $36 vouchers available to newly eligible RRFP card holders.
Eligibility: Any person who presents proof of one or more of the following conditions can get a Regional Reduced Fare Permit:
- Is at least 65 years of age.
- Is now eligible for Social Security disability benefits or now gets Supplemental Security Income Benefits because of disability. (Temporary)
- Is now certified by the Veterans Administration at a 40% or greater disability level.
- Has a valid Medicare card issued by the Social Security Administration. (Temporary)
- Has a valid Regional ADA paratransit eligibility letter or card.
- Has a valid ADA paratransit eligibility letter or card from outside the region. (Temporary)
- Has obvious physical impairments meeting one or more of the RRFP Eligibility Criteria.
- Is certified by a Washington state-licensed physician (M.D.), psychiatrist, psychologist (Ph.D.), Physician Assistant (P.A.), Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (A.R.N.P.), or audiologist (certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association) as meeting one or more of the RRFP Eligibility Criteria. (Call Metro at 206.553.3000 ((WA Relay: 711)) to get a certification form or use the RRFP Application Form, and have your doctor fill it out before you register.)
- A Personal Care Attendant Regional Reduced Fare Permit is available for persons who require an aid to facilitate travel all or some of the time.

For Temporary or Permanent disability RRFP cards, bring the application and supporting documentation in person to an ORCA customer service office. Disability RRFP applications cannot be mailed.

HAS YOUR FAMILY LOST ACCESS TO TANF?
If you were kicked off TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) due to:
- sanctions that led you to be permanently disqualified OR
- the 60-month limit, and you and your family are currently homeless
… you are again eligible for TANF, due to changes in the law effective July 28, 2019.
To reapply for TANF, you must submit an application either in person, by mail, or online. Visit washingtonconnection.org for an online application, or bit.ly/dshs-offices for a list of DSHS offices throughout the state.

UBER BOOST PLAN
WHAT: JUMP by Uber’s electric bikes let you go farther, get there faster, and have more fun. Their Boost Plan allows eligible riders to ride up to 60 minutes a day for just $5 a month. To qualify for the Boost plan, participants can send documentation of their enrollment with the Seattle Housing Authority, Basic Food, Seattle City Light, ORCA lift reduced-fare program, Regional Reduced Fare Permit, and/or Apple Health.
