Strategic Plan & Community Needs Assessment
Vision 2030 is Solid Ground’s Strategic Plan. To create it, we used a Community-Based Participatory Action Research approach driven by the following beliefs:
- Community members are experts in their lives and needs.
- People with lived experience are the researchers (rather than the objects of research and inquiry).
- Communities have the capacity to conduct critical and systemic inquiry into their own strengths and needs – and this knowledge and expertise counters dominant cultural narratives that center deficits rather than strengths.
Every three years, Solid Ground conducts a Community Needs Assessment (CNA) to gather input from the communities we serve to help ensure our programs and services support people to create the lives they want to live. Vision 2030 built on CNA 2022 learnings, and community focus groups – including one made up of local youth – provided foundational input. Solid Ground’s Community Accountability Council (CAC) also played a key role in the creation of our plan.
