Hello- I recently heard about the amazing things you are doing at the park for housing. I am a person with a disability, on limited income, and for all saqke and purposes homeless. How may I sign up for one of these apartments.?? I am Seattle born, and have lived here most of my life. Thank You for youe time, and any help. Jeff
The apartments that we are staring to build right now are targeted for families who are coming out of homelessness. When they open, families will access them through their case managers at emergency shelters and transitional housing programs in the region. In about a year we will break ground on additional units that will be targeted for individuals and former veterans.
If you are interested in transitional housing, you might be a good fit for our Santos Place program, which is run in a building at Sand Point that was previously used as a barracks. That program takes referrals from the Salvation Army’s William Booth House, Community Psychiatric Clinic and the Veteran’s Administration.
If that does not seem like a good fit for you, try calling the Community Information Line by dialing 2-1-1 from a landline telephone, or 206-461-3200. They can provide a comprehensive list of resource available in our community. Good luck!
