Vote YES on Ref 74!

The Solid Ground Board of Directors voted Thursday Sept. 6 to approve Referendum 74 to legalize marriage equality in Washington State.

As Board member Thomas Bates tweeted following the vote: “Proud that @SolidGround board just endorsed marriage equality enthusiastically and unanimously, joining the coalition of the awesome.”

“Solid Ground stands against oppressions and barriers to full participation in society,” commented President & CEO Gordon McHenry, Jr.  “Excluding anyone from the celebration and legal benefits of marriage on the basis of sexual identity or orientation is oppressive and unfair. And we know that  many of our clients, staff, volunteers and donors are directly affected by this issue.”

McHenry said, “We are proud to join with people across the state in support of Referendum 74!”
