Do you like working with kids outside? Lettuce Link is looking for volunteers to help with our gardening and nutrition classes at Marra Farm this spring.
We will be teaching garden and nutrition education to elementary school students and need co-teachers. We work with children to plant their own gardens, cook healthy snacks, and read culturally relevant stories to learn about soil, plant parts, ecosystems and more.
This is a great fit if you’re energetic, have experience working with kids, are passionate about educating through an anti-oppression framework, and like the outdoors! We have three different classes – volunteers need to commit to come regularly to one of the class series. Volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and pass a Washington State Patrol background check.
